PotGuide.com Acquires KindReviews™ From Shift Cannabis Co. News

Transaction adds enormous catalogue of marijuana strain reviews and professional photography to leading consumer cannabis resource

Denver, Colorado — October 14, 2015 — The nation’s premiere media ambassador to the world of cannabis, PotGuide.com, announces the acquisition of KindReviews™, an online resource with one of the largest collections of high-definition cannabis photography, an extensive collection of strain profiles and reviews, as well as in-depth articles and exclusive interviews.

The purchase, which includes KindReviews’™ dynamic social media channels, further cements PotGuide.com's position as a leading media destination for people interested in cannabis, from tourists visiting pot-friendly states looking for dispensaries and lodging to marijuana enthusiasts seeking information about cannabis strains.

“We are thrilled to expand our content into the growing world of strain profiles and reviews,” said PotGuide.com founder Jeremy Bamford. “Passionate cannabis aficionados, as well as more casual users, embrace KindReviews’™ for its comprehensive, savvy analysis of strains and unbeatable photography. We long have admired KindReviews’™ editorial excellence and are eager to continue the site’s legacy of comprehensive strain information.”

Bamford started ColoradoPotGuide.com before the state permitted the sale of recreational marijuana on January 1, 2014. He geared the site’s content towards responsible adult marijuana enthusiasts looking for ways to enjoy cannabis in Colorado with helpful guides about where to buy, where to stay and what to do, all while keeping users on the right side of the law.

The site’s straightforward, professional approach to cannabis quickly earned a devoted following, and Bamford began adding news and cultural content in addition to the existing directories. In the spring of 2015 Bamford launched PotGuide.com and began offering in-depth guides in three more states with similar cannabis-friendly laws including Washington State, Nevada and Oregon. In coming months, the site anticipates further expanding their presence in states that permit some form of legal marijuana.

“As cannabis becomes increasingly normalized around the country, cannabis media is flourishing,” said PotGuide.com’s co-founder and marketing director, Samantha Chin. “We aim to become the nation’s leading full-service cannabis media destination, offering marijuana fans everything they need, from smart strain reviews to pot-friendly lodging options to engaging online conversations about marijuana. The acquirement of KindReviews’™, which we feel is the best-curated archive of information and photography regarding strain data, gives us an extra boost towards achieving that goal.”

KindReviews™ delivers live, visually rich menus updated straight from dispensaries’ inventories and features descriptions that include aroma, taste, unique strain story and estimated psychoactive or medicinal effect.

CEO of Shift Cannabis, Travis Howard, said “KindReviews™ now has a home with a technology-focused company that will better serve the expanding universe of cannabis-astute consumers. PotGuide.com harnesses the development horizon we always desired, and the new, exciting relationship will help KindReviews™ reach an increasingly larger audience, which has been an important goal since we began five years ago.”
